The building
Know where you are staying before you arrive.
A restored historic building on Şah Değirmeni Street, in Şahkulu. One flat on each of the four floors, and all four are ours — you come to the door and get the key from us, with nobody in between. The flats are identical: 45 m², a king bed in one bedroom, one bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, a washing machine, air conditioning and fast wifi. Each has a balcony and a sitting corner. The restoration left the fabric of the building alone — the stone walls and the timber are still there. The building has four floors and no lift. That makes the floor a real choice: on the first floor you climb the least, on the fourth you stop hearing the street altogether.

How do I book?
Pick your dates and open the flat; the calendar shows the free nights and the panel beside it gives you the total. Enter your details, complete the payment, and the booking is settled with your code on screen. No agency, no commission — you are booking with us directly.
Do I get my money back if I cancel?
Cancel more than 14 days before arrival and you get everything back; up to 3 days before, half. Inside the last three days there is no refund. The terms are frozen onto your booking, so even if we change the policy later, yours stays as it was on the day you booked.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is between 15:00 and 23:00, check-out by 11:00. If your flight lands early or leaves late you can leave your bags with us — tell us beforehand so someone is there.
What is Galata like?
Galata is the old stone-built, narrow-laned part of Beyoğlu. On one side the crowds of İstiklal Avenue; on the other the Golden Horn and the historic peninsula across the water. Our street is quiet — cafés, small shops and the instrument makers are all within walking distance. Evenings are lively, but the noise stops at the door.
What is within walking distance?
Galata Tower is 2 minutes away, İstiklal Avenue 1, the Galata Bridge 5. Cross the bridge and you are at Eminönü, the Spice Bazaar and the historic peninsula — Hagia Sophia and Sultanahmet are about half an hour on foot. Karaköy's coffee places and fish restaurants are five minutes downhill.
How do I get here from the airport?
Both airports are outside the city; expect 45 minutes to an hour and a half depending on traffic. The easiest is a transfer arranged beforehand — we can book one and you are met at arrivals. The airport buses bring you to Taksim, and from there it is a walk or a short taxi. With luggage, finding a taxi in the narrow streets can be awkward in the evening.
